City Manager Randall Eads noted that it may be 6-8 weeks before there may be a noticeable difference in the landfill after current upgrades. Eades discussed the landfill budget and costs to operate it. Eads also discussed the odor mitigation system and having someone solely committed to the operation of the landfill.

Chief Financial Officer Tamrya Spradlin explained that the Invitation to Bid for Landfill Gas (LFG) Extraction Well Drilling was placed on the city’s website and eVA on July 16, 2021 and closed on August 2, 2021 at 2:00pm. Four responses were received with APTIM having the lowest responsive bid at $309,087. Staff recommended approval of the bid.
